Brand identity for MOB Hotel Of The People by GBH.London

This project was selected in the Design – Brand Identity category in The Annual 2018, CR’s award scheme celebrating the best in commercial creativity

MOB is a French boutique hotel with branches in Paris, Lyon and (soon) Washington.

Its identity mixes vernacular graphic imagery with lo-fi production techniques such as rubber stamps to create a ‘democratic’ aesthetic tying in with its Hotel of the People brand line. The original Paris hotel is housed in an industrial style building near the St-Ouen flea market.

GBH says its mission was to create “an affordable, social, fun and intellectually stimulating experience, where the hotel is really a local community centre that provides healthy eating options in an eclectic atmosphere”.
