Brand identity for Jean-Georges at The Connaught by Otherway London

This project was selected in the Design – Brand Identity category in The Annual 2018, CR’s award scheme celebrating the best in commercial creativity

A new London restaurant, Jean-Georges at the Connaught was the brainchild of chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and features an eclectic menu inspired by his classic French training, love of Asian flavours, and traditional British dishes such as fish and chips and afternoon tea.

“Our aim was to create a strong but subtle identity that brought together The Connaught’s and Jean-Georges’ distinguished heritages with their passion for the new, to reflect the more informal and playful feel to the restaurant,” say Otherway.

The restaurant’s name is used as a framing device in the corners of collateral such as menus, bill holders, takeaway coffee cups and pizza boxes. Jean Jullien created a series of illustrations, each of which is inspired by The Connaught’s association with art, its sense of fun and Jean-Georges’ eclectic menu.
