Threes Productions is the creative agency behind a number of independent, electronic festivals in Italy – from the sustainability-focused Nextones based in Val D’Ossola, to Terraforma Exo, a series of concerts and cultural events that has grown out of the now-defunct Terraforma festival, which took place in the gardens of Villa Arconati near Milan.

The agency, which launched in 2013, takes a multidisciplinary approach to the work they do, which ranges from event production to curation to publishing. The core tenets behind its work are an ecological mindset, “cultural sustainability” and a penchant for the experimental and exploratory – be it in music or design.

Those who are familiar with the European festival circuit will perhaps be more acquainted with Terraforma, which first launched in 2014 and concluded its run in Villa Arconati in 2023, before it was reconfigured into Terraforma Exo – a “new cultural manifestation for a new ecology of sound”. Terraforma Exo takes place across various sites in Parco Sempione and Triennale Milano.
