Unchartered Territory

Meet the agency helping brands to navigate new territories

New brands could benefit from the years of expertise available via the two founders of Unchartered Territory, a new agency well-equipped for a journey into the unknown

Launched in June this year, Unchartered Territory is a new brand-building agency that helps ‘culture-first’ brands achieve scale through strategy, storytelling, investment and global partnerships. Co-founded by Ben Dando and Oli Russell-Cowan, who previously led the international and lifestyle marketing teams at Liquid Death, the pair bring years of knowledge and experience to the new venture.

Its clients include Drip Water, co-founded by artist and broadcaster Big Zuu; Alba, a ready-to-drink margarita brand from New Zealand; and Mayah, a new skincare brand for mothers. Befitting a new company ready to share its thinking with the world, Unchartered Territory now also has its own podcast, the second episode of which has just gone live.

In the first episode, ostensibly an introduction to the agency and its co-founders, the upbeat conversation between the two friends divulges many of the processes that UT brings to working with new brands. In the recording, Dando says that the reason for starting the agency came out of the fact that he was already working in the area that his future company would occupy – carrying out an advisory role within the packaging, retail and beverages sectors across a range of different brands.
